Sewickley Valley YMCA

Valley Care Foundation, acting then as the Valley Care Endowment, has financially supported the Sewickley Valley YMCA since 2018, helping this important community resource better serve older adults.
During this time, the Sewickley Valley YMCA has greatly expanded its services. Through Faith in Action, Senior Central, and other YMCA programs, seniors get help to live independently, remain safe, obtain food, transportation, and tech help, stay fit, and be part of the community.
Federated Guardians

Valley Care Foundation, then known as Valley Care Endowment, awarded Federated Guardians a three-year grant in 2022. The grant allowed them to advocate for 10 additional clients in Ambridge and Aliquippa and guide them through end-of-life challenges. Funds were used to maintain certifications and provide the highest possible level of comfort and care beyond meeting basic needs.
Federated Guardians manages complex guardianship cases to help elderly individuals who need someone to make medical or financial decisions on their behalf. They work with the courts, social services, medical caregivers, and family members to give clients the health and legal aid they need to have a better life, or a better end to life.
